After our workshop participants departed in late September, I had a chance to cut a couple of new woodblocks on Skopelos in our wind-down week on the island. I am currently working on a series of eight prints for Continuum, a Southern Highlands Printmakers exhibition at Goulburn Regional Gallery, opening on November 17. Most of the pieces are woodblocks, printed by hand over a soft silkscreened image, but the initial print in the series is an etching based on a famous image of migrants arriving in Sydney in the 60s, photographed by David Moore. I am shown here at work in our well-lit room at Milos Studios. The Mythos beer bottle is included for scale!
