Jessie Pangas completed this 10 colour silkscreen print in two days with Basil in BHE’s Canberra studio during her recent residency. She used a variety of techniques, including painted positives, reduction printing and a final charcoal drawing done on True Grain film. The Canberra studio is ideal for individual artists who want to access silkscreen equipment and a printer. We work using water-based inks and direct emulsion, enabling any artist to make a silkscreen print edition, regardless of previous experience. Photographic or computer-generated images, drawings and paintings can all be exposed and printed on paper with Basil’s help. This image was on Magnani paper (56 x 76cms) in an edition of 10.
